What is Google Search?

Google Search adds an integrated search box that enables users to directly search the Internet without having to load a third-party toolbar. Google Search provides fast access to weather forecasts, stock quotes, news headlines and much more…

Google Search makes surfing the web faster and more convenient. Search results can be loaded in "tabs" within the same browser window, making it easy to switch back and forth among multiple web pages.

Google Search integrates seamlessly into Internet Explorer right in the Address Bar taking up very little space. Google Search includes results for: web pages, directory listings, images, news, weather forecast, dictionary, movies, and much more…

Advanced Tips

Search Faster

Find anything faster by pressing Ctrl-S to access the search bar; search results can be opened in a new tab, so you can keep your current page open.

Highlighting Words on Webpages

You can highlight word(s) on a webpage by pressing the search button and choosing the 'Highlight search term' option, or for quick highlighting, press Ctrl-S, type the word(s) you want to highlight and then press Ctrl-H.

Search your Browser's Cache

By enabling Desktop Search you can search your browser's cache to view web pages you've seen even when you're not online. For quick searching, press Ctrl-S, type the word(s) you want to search for, press the search button and choose the 'Desktop Search' option.

Preview webpages

Save time by getting a "sneak preview" of a web page when you mouse over a Binoculars icon next to a search result.
